The photos of “Sleeping On It” were modeled after the classic fairytale, The Princess and the Pea. I choose to further this aesthetic and focus on this in my design. I used an old storybook font, designed a drop cap, and created vector embellishments in Illustrator. I went through iterative refinements to push the design further and create a stronger viewer experience.
PRODUCT
The final product resembles a storybook. It encourages readers to slow down and immerse themselves in the fairytale through the typography, decorative elements, and photo. With photography already being a major element, the design enhances it rather than taking away from the design.
